Nigerian House of Reps to Vote on Constitution Amendment Bills

The House of Representatives in Nigeria has set a date to vote on Constitution Amendment Bills following the ongoing review of the 1999 constitution. Deputy Speaker Benjamin Okezi Kalu announced the upcoming vote during a plenary session.

The review process covers various areas such as electoral and judicial reforms, establishment of state police, fiscal changes, and more. A total of 87 bills are seeking to amend the current constitution.

The House committee has completed the technical work required for the final harmonization of the documents to be presented for consideration.
