Nigerian House of Representatives Postpones Constitution Amendment Report Consideration

The Nigerian House of Representatives postponed the consideration of the constitution amendment report to the following week to ensure adequate time for review. Deputy Speaker Benjamin Okezi Kalu presided over the session, where Deputy House Leader Abdullahi Halim Ibrahim presented a synopsis of the report.

Lawmakers, including Alhassan Ado Doguwa and Awalu Gwalab, stressed the critical nature of the constitution review and cautioned against rushing the process. The delay was met with opposition from some members like Bamidel Salam, who warned of negative public perception.
