JUST IN: Ibom Air denies leaking viral video of passenger’s indecent exposure

Ibom Air has denied any involvement in the release of a viral video showing a passenger's indecent exposure during a recent altercation on one of their flights. Aniekan Essienette, the Group Manager of Marketing Communications, clarified in an interview with TVC News that while the incident did occur on their flight, no staff member was responsible for sharing the footage.

The Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, had directed that sanctions be imposed on any Ibom Air employee found guilty of leaking the video. Essienette explained that recording the incident for use as evidence in court is acceptable, but releasing footage containing indecent exposure to the public is not.

The airline emphasized their commitment to ensuring the security and well-being of passengers and vowed to focus on preventing similar incidents in the future rather than engaging in public humiliation.
