INEC Launches Online Accreditation for Bye-Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced online accreditation for media organizations interested in covering six senatorial bye-elections set for June 20, 2026. The bye-elections will take place in the Dawaki Kudu Warawa Federal Constituency in Kano State, Zuru State Constituency in Kebbi State, Ondo South Senatorial District in Ondo State, Rivers South East Senatorial District in Rivers State, Nasarawa North Senatorial District in Nasarawa State, and Enugu North Senatorial District in Enugu State.

INEC has instructed interested media organizations to complete the accreditation process within the stipulated timeframe, as late applications will not be entertained. The commission has directed that the accreditation process be completed through its dedicated portal.
