Simon Withdraws from FCT House Race After Obi's Help

Simon, an aspirant for the House of Representatives from the FCT, has officially withdrawn from the race after an intervention by Peter Obi, whom he holds in high esteem. This decision was communicated in a statement issued on Thursday, where Simon expressed that he would no longer participate in the upcoming primaries.

He indicated that the withdrawal followed consultations with political associates and stakeholders within the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC). Simon emphasized the need for sacrifices to ensure unity and stability within the party as it prepares for the 2027 general elections.
