Just In: Nigerian Army Mentions When Terrorism Financiers in Nigeria Will Be Exposed

Nigeria's Chief Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, announced that the process of identifying and prosecuting terrorism financiers in the country is ongoing. In an appearance on Channels TV, General Musa mentioned that the delay in naming the financiers is due to legal complexities and international links.

He stated that the financiers operate within the country, using individual motorcycles to remit funds daily to various accounts. The Defence Chief praised the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) for its efforts in exposing the financial network supporting terrorism.

Security agencies, including the State Security Services and National Intelligence Agency, are investigating Nigerian politicians allegedly funding insecurity for personal gain. General Musa emphasized the continued struggle against terrorist attacks in Nigeria, particularly by Boko Haram and bandits, resulting in deaths and displacement of thousands of residents.
