Obi and Kwankwaso Meet NDC Leaders for 2027 Strategy

On Sunday, Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, conducted a closed-door meeting with leaders of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) at the residence of Seriake Dickson in Abuja. The meeting, which began at 5:18 PM, attracted a crowd of supporters who chanted in support of the Obi-Kwankwaso movement.

Both leaders were dressed in traditional attire, with Kwankwaso in a white babanriga and a red and white Kwankwasiyya cap, while Obi wore a black kaftan. This meeting comes amid ongoing political realignments among opposition figures as they prepare for the 2027 general elections.

Buba Galadima, the secretary of the board of trustees of the New Nigeria People's Party, disclosed that the two prominent politicians are unveiling a new political platform. Sources indicate that the leaders are finalizing arrangements to align with the NDC, signaling a potential shift in strategy among opposition actors aiming to consolidate influence outside existing party structures.
