Supreme Court Orders Continuation of N1.35bn Corruption Trial of Ex-Jigawa Governor Lamido

The Supreme Court has ruled for the continuation of the N1.35 billion corruption trial of ex-Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido and his sons, Mustapha Aminu. The court overturned a previous judgment that had freed them, directing them to return to the Federal High Court in Abuja to open their defense.

The trial involves allegations of money laundering and abuse of office during Lamido's tenure as governor. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had appealed the earlier ruling, leading to the current Supreme Court decision.
