Vice President Shettima Visits Kwara State After Deadly Attack, Vows Justice for Victims

Vice President Kashim Shettima visited Kwara State to assess the situation firsthand after a deadly attack in Woro Village, Kaiama Local Government Area, resulted in the deaths of 75 residents. The attack, described as a local Muslim massacre, was reportedly carried out by extremists who refused to submit to extremist preaching.

Shettima's visit was to convey the Federal Government's condolences and assure justice for the victims. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq received the Vice President upon his arrival.

The Federal Government, led by Vice President Shettima and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, vowed to track down and bring the perpetrators to justice. The President described the assailants' actions as cowardly and beastly, with military operations underway to apprehend them.

Close collaboration between federal and state agencies was emphasized to provide relief to victims and ensure that the attackers face justice.
