Just In: Tension in Edo Polling Unit as Voters Beat PDP Agent

Tension arose at a polling unit in Edo State as voters reportedly beat a PDP agent who refused to release Permanent Voter Cards. The incident occurred in Iguobazuwa, with voting materials arriving early.

In a separate incident, PDP candidate Princess Esther Ashivelli Dawaki and 25 supporters were allegedly kidnapped in Kaduna. The PDP chairman in Edo State, Edward Percy Masha, accused a joint security network of carrying out the operation and called for the immediate release of those arrested.

The party condemned the actions, blaming the ruling APC for harassment and intimidation. The PDP urged the intervention of security agencies and INEC to ensure a fair electoral process in the upcoming elections.
