PRP Demands Tinubu's Resignation Over Insecurity Crisis

The People's Redemption Party (PRP) has demanded the resignation of President Bola Tinubu, citing a worsening state of insecurity across Nigeria. The call was made on Thursday, with the party accusing Tinubu of failing to fulfill his constitutional duty to protect lives and property.

This demand comes amid increasing public concern over violent attacks and kidnappings, particularly the recent abduction of school pupils and teachers in Oyo State on May 15. The PRP's National Chairman, Dr.

Hakeem Baba Ahm, stated that the security situation under Tinubu's administration has significantly deteriorated, warning that violent groups operate freely across the country. Baba Ahm emphasized that citizens, including schoolchildren, are increasingly becoming targets for armed groups, indicating a national crisis.

He criticized Tinubu for concentrating power without delivering results in security and called for urgent action to address the situation, stating that Nigerians cannot afford to wait until the 2027 general elections for change.
