PRP Aspirant Kingslei Rejects Call for Tinubu's Resignation

Yakubu Kingslei, a presidential aspirant for the People's Redemption Party (PRP), distanced himself from the party chairman Hakeem Baba Ahm's call for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign, citing the deteriorating security situation in Nigeria. In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Sunday, Kingslei insisted that Nigeria's democracy provides constitutional processes for leadership transition and urged Nigerians to focus on strengthening democratic institutions in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

He lamented the prevailing economic hardships and insecurity affecting millions of citizens across the country. Kingslei, who has a background in engineering and has served in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, emphasized the need for visionary leadership to address Nigeria's challenges.

He expressed sympathy for victims of insecurity and proposed the YMK Nigeria project as a practical solution to the country's problems, advocating for economic diversification and youth empowerment. This statement comes after Hakeem Baba Ahm's alarming remarks regarding the current administration's security failures.
