Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Primary with 10.9M Votes

Bola Tinubu emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary for the 2027 general elections, securing a total of 10,999,967 votes. He defeated his sole rival, Stanlei Osifo, who received 16,504 votes.

The primary election results were compiled from 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with the announcement made during a conference in Abuja. Tinubu's stronghold was particularly evident in states like Lagos, where he received 814,988 votes, and Kaduna, which produced the highest figure of 618,914 votes.

His performance was notably strong in the South East and South South regions, while Osifo struggled to secure significant votes in these areas. The primary was conducted across 8,809 wards nationwide, and the results were collated by the primary election committee chaired by former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim.
