Yari Mourns Aunt Hajiya Rakkiya Jibrin's Passing

Abdulazeez Yari, the Director General of President Bola Tinubu's campaign organization, announced the passing of his aunt, Hajiya Rakkiya Jibrin, who died on September 16, 2026, at the age of 85. In a post on his official X account, Yari described her death as a deeply painful loss for him and his family.

He honored Hajiya Rakkiya's exceptional character, noting her warmth and care for others, which left a significant impact on her community. Yari began his tribute with the Islamic declaration of loss: "Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un," and expressed gratitude for the 85 years they shared.

He called upon the public to pray for her, asking Allah to forgive her shortcomings, show mercy on her soul, and grant her Aljannah Firdaus. Yari also prayed for strength for his family and all others mourning her passing.
