WAEC Announces Mandatory Requirements for Schools Ahead of 2026 Exams

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released key requirements for schools ahead of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) transition to Computer-Based Testing (CBT). Schools must provide essential facilities, including 250 functional laptops, a robust computer server, air conditioning, lighting, uninterrupted power supply, backup generator, CCTV cameras, and more.

Mr. Lucky Njoagwuani, Head of Examinations, emphasized the need for schools to meet these standards to enhance exam security and reduce logistics costs.

Schools unable to comply will be assigned designated centers. School proprietors are encouraged to seek funding support for upgrades.
