Juventus Signs World Cup Star Kerim Alajbegovic for £40M

Juventus has completed the acquisition of 18-year-old winger Kerim Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen, outbidding Chelsea for the promising talent. The deal, worth an initial £33 million with an additional £7 million performance-related fee, comes after Alajbegovic's impressive season on loan at RB Salzburg, where he scored 13 goals and provided 4 assists in 44 appearances.

His performance helped the Austrian club reach the Europa League qualifying and the FB Cup semi-final. Alajbegovic gained significant attention during the World Cup, becoming the youngest player to score from outside the penalty area, with a notable goal against Qatar that was nominated for goal of the tournament.

He has signed a contract with Juventus until the summer of 2031. Bayer Leverkusen's director, Simon Rolfes, praised the club's role in developing top-quality football stars and expressed confidence that this move is beneficial for all parties involved.
