Kaduna Mother Appeals for Help After Son's Abduction

Bandits attacked the Angwan Waziri and Babban Saura communities in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State, killing a man named Sikiru and abducting several residents, including a nine-year-old boy and his uncle. Linda Nzekwe recounted the harrowing experience, stating that the attackers invaded her home around 12:05 am, breaking security lights and forcing their way in after failing to enter through the door.
They assaulted her family and took her son, who was not dressed when abducted. Nzekwe expressed her anguish, stating she did not know if her son had eaten since the incident.
Another resident, Andrew Mshelia, reported hearing gunshots and narrowly escaping with his family. He noted that the attackers moved between communities, breaking into homes and abducting residents.
The exact number of abducted individuals remains unclear as the attackers targeted multiple houses. Residents are urging the government to take immediate action to protect their communities from ongoing banditry.
