ADC's Ashiru Appeals for Peace After Clash with APC Supporters

Isa Mohammed Ashiru, the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State, urged his supporters to maintain peace after a violent confrontation with supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Dakande Toll Gate. The clash occurred as Ashiru returned from Saudi Arabia, where ADC supporters had gathered to welcome him.

Reports indicate that ADC supporters were allegedly attacked by suspected APC supporters, with claims from ADC member Awwal Gezau that vehicles parked around Maraban Jos were also targeted by hoodlums. The attackers reportedly arrived in Hilux vehicles and a bus, damaging several ADC supporters' vehicles.

In response to the violence, Ashiru, through his media aide Ibrahim Usman, condemned the attacks and called for non-violence, urging supporters not to retaliate or engage in insults, regardless of political affiliations. He emphasized the importance of discipline and focusing on issues that matter to the people of Kaduna State.
