Christian Cleric Honors Sheikh Usman for 50 Years of Teaching

Buru, the General Overseer of the Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, led a delegation of Christian clerics to honor Sheikh Usman for his over 50 years of teaching the Qur'an, Hadith, Tafsir, Arabic, and other Islamic studies. The award recognized Usman's significant contributions to Islamic education, youth development, and community building in Northern Nigeria.

Buru noted that many of Usman's students have become Islamic scholars and educators. The recognition aimed to encourage Usman to continue his educational work despite his advancing age and to promote peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians in Kaduna State.

Pastor Emmanuel John praised Usman's remarkable impact on communities through education. Usman expressed gratitude for the honor, stating it was his first award in over 50 years of teaching, and he had trained more than 10,000 youths who are now educators across the 19 northern states.

He thanked the Christian clerics and prayed for peace and unity between the faith communities.
