Fityanul-Islam Leader Backs Uba Sani for Re-election

During the annual Maulid Nabiyyi celebrations at Murtala Mohammed Square on Tuesday, Sheikh Rabiu Abdullahu Zaria, Chairman of Fityanul-Islam, commended Governor Uba Sani for proposing the Kaduna State Religious Commission, which aims to benefit all religious adherents. Sheikh Rabiu stated that Sani has consistently supported religious activities since taking office and has never denied requests from Fityanul-Islam.

He vowed that the group would reciprocate the Governor's support by ensuring he is re-elected, asserting they would not vote for anyone who opposes their religious practices. Governor Uba Sani, in his address, highlighted the significance of the Maulid celebration, urging attendees to emulate the character of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and promoting inclusivity among different faiths.

He noted that Kaduna State has achieved peace by embracing all religions and emphasized the importance of character over religious affiliation in governance.
