Kaduna Governor Uba Sani Launches Reconstruction of ABU Road Network in Zaria

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani launched a reconstruction project to upgrade a 60-kilometer internal road network at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria. The project includes the installation of proper drainage systems, street lights, pedestrian walkways, disabled access routes, and other infrastructure improvements.

Governor Sani emphasized the importance of investing in education and improving the daily lives of students, staff, and the host community. The project is part of efforts to strengthen the university's physical infrastructure to support teaching, research, and learning.

The road upgrades are expected to enhance campus security, create a conducive academic environment, and attract visitors for various events. The project is also set to boost economic activities by creating job opportunities for artisans and laborers during the construction phase.

ABU's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adamu Ahm, expressed gratitude for the governor's support and highlighted the positive impact of the project on the university community.
