Kaduna Rep Suleiman Yahaya Richifa Resigns from PDP

Suleiman Yahaya Richifa, a member of the Kaduna State House of Representatives representing the Soba Federal Constituency, has officially resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP). The resignation letter, dated March 27, 2026, was addressed to the PDP ward chairman of Richifa Ward in Soba Local Government Area.

Richifa cited ongoing internal crises, persistent court cases, and unresolved leadership disagreements within the PDP as reasons for his departure. He expressed that these conflicts have made it increasingly difficult for him to continue his membership and active participation in the party.

Despite his resignation, Richifa conveyed his appreciation for the support he received from party members throughout his political journey, describing them as a strong pillar. He requested that the party leadership accept his resignation letter as formal notice of his departure from the PDP.
