Uba Sani Advocates for Urban Planning Collaboration in Kaduna

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has called for collaboration with the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners to strengthen urban planning and land administration in the state. During a courtesy visit from the institute, Sani highlighted the government's commitment to improving infrastructure and urban renewal initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for citizens.

He acknowledged that the government cannot achieve these goals alone and requires the expertise and guidance of professional bodies. Sani noted the historical significance of urban planning in Kaduna, referencing the state's master plan dating back to 1913.

He mentioned that Kaduna State has been selected as a pioneer state for the World Bank Group's Nigerian land title registration document program. The governor expressed hope that the institute would continue to provide technical advisory services to align priorities and explore collaborative pathways for sustainable urban development.
