Uba Sani Names Jerry Adams as Running Mate for 2027

On Tuesday, less than 48 hours after a report by Daily Trust, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani officially announced Jerry Adams as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election. Adams, who is the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), was identified as a Christian from Southern Kaduna.

Governor Sani stated that Adams' nomination is a significant step towards fostering a united, peaceful, and inclusive Kaduna State. He emphasized that the decision reflects the values of inclusion, justice, fairness, and equity that have guided his administration since he took office on May 29, 2023.

Sani highlighted the importance of Kaduna's diverse religious, ethnic, and cultural landscape, asserting that sustainable peace and development can only be achieved through inclusive governance. He praised Adams as an accomplished public servant and a renowned tax administrator who has successfully transformed KADIRS into a leading revenue agency in Nigeria, enhancing the state's internally generated revenue for critical investments.
