PDP's ABG Names Gandu as Running Mate for 2027 Election

On Tuesday, Hon. Usman Shehu Bawa (ABG), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Kaduna State, unveiled Hon.

Amos A. Gandu (AAG) as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.

ABG stated that this decision reflects the party’s commitment to competence, unity, and inclusive leadership, following extensive consultations with various stakeholders across the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State. He emphasized the need for leadership that prioritizes the interests of the people, particularly at this critical stage in Kaduna's history.

ABG described Gandu as a grassroots politician and seasoned quantity surveyor with nearly three decades of experience, holding qualifications such as Member of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MNIQS), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (FNIQS), and Registered Quantity Surveyor (RQS). Gandu has previously served as Special Assistant to the Governor on Education and Housing and as Technical Assistant to the Minister of State for Power and Steel.

ABG expressed confidence that Gandu’s experience and grassroots appeal would enhance the PDP’s chances in the upcoming election.
