AbdulRazaq Meets Tinubu After Kaiama Killings Linked to Boko Haram

Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq met with Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja after a deadly attack by suspected jihadist fighters in Kaiama, Kwara State. The attack resulted in the deaths of over 100 people in several communities.

Gunmen, suspected to be linked to a faction of Boko Haram, attacked villages, killing residents, including the traditional ruler, Emir Worro Saliu Umar. The assailants allegedly targeted residents who rejected extremist ideologies.

President Tinubu ordered the deployment of an army battalion to Kaiama and approved the establishment of a new military command to counter terrorist activities in the region. The President condemned the attacks as cowardly and inhuman, expressing anger at the targeting of residents who rejected extremist ideologies.

Governor AbdulRazaq visited Kaiama alongside service chiefs and state cabinet members, describing the attack as part of the state's security challenges.
