Gov AbdulRazaq and Security Chiefs Strategize After Kaiama Attack

Governor AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, along with security chiefs, convened an emergency security council meeting following a recent terrorist attack in Kaiama local government area that reportedly resulted in 175 casualties. The meeting, held at Ahmadu Bello House in Ilorin, focused on the immediate response to the incident and heightened security concerns in the North Central state.

The session aimed to review the security situation, strengthen coordination, and enhance the response to emerging threats. Security agencies deployed military and police personnel to forest corridors to prevent further assaults.

Governor AbdulRazaq expressed optimism about improving security and restoring calm in the affected communities. Usman Ododo of Kogi State and Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State visited victims in Woro community, Kaiama, who are currently receiving treatment at the general hospital in Ilorin.

Oyebanji expressed solidarity with Kwara State and emphasized the need for continued collaboration to address cross-border criminal activities threatening the region.
