Kwara Governor Visits Terror-Affected Villages, Orders Humanitarian Support

Governor AbdulRazaq of Kwara State visited Kaiama and Woro to assess the situation after a terrorist attack that claimed lives and properties. He ordered humanitarian support for the victims and commiserated with the affected communities.

The governor was accompanied by key officials including the Speaker of the State House of Assembly and security commanders. At least 75 people lost their lives in the attack, which occurred in Muslim-majority villages.

The governor praised the security agencies for their efforts and announced the immediate deployment of soldiers to the area under Operation Sahel Sanity. He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the deployment of additional troops.

The attack was condemned as a pure massacre, and the governor assured the affected communities of government support in addressing the security challenges.
