Kano Assembly Passes N1.47trn Budget for 2026, Focuses on Infrastructure Development

The Kano State House of Assembly has passed a N1.47 trillion budget for 2026, with a significant emphasis on infrastructure development. The budget allocates 68% for capital expenditure and 32% for recurrent spending.

The assembly also paid tribute to two late members, Aminu Sa'ad Ungogo Sarki Aliyu Daneji, who passed away, expressing deep sorrow over their loss. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf presented the budget proposal, and Speaker Jibril Isma'il Falgore presided over the approval process.

Former Governor Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso and others extended condolences. The budget will now be sent to the governor for assent.
