Kano Commissioner Defects from NNPP to APC, Aligns with Kano First Ideology

Hajiya Amina Sani, the Kano State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Special Needs, has left the NNPP to join the APC, adopting the Kano First ideology. She is popularly known as Amina Hod and was a pillar of the Kwankwasiyya grassroots movement.

Sani's alignment with the APC is aimed at ensuring the rapid development of Kano State and promoting peace and coexistence. The defection of Sani, who is recognized for her strong principles and convictions, is expected to redefine the political landscape in Kano State.

Governor Abba Yusuf expressed loyalty to Sani and emphasized the government's commitment to governance, transformation, and maintaining control amid the defections. The move comes amidst a wave of defections in the state, with 22 state assembly members, eight national assembly members, and 44 local government chairmen also defecting to the APC.
