APC Welcomes Kwankwaso Amid Political Realignment in Kano State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed openness to former Kano State Governor Rabi'u Kwankwaso amid calls for him to join the ruling party. Kwankwaso's recent defection to the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) has reshaped the political landscape in Kano State, following Governor Abba Yusuf's exit from the APC.

The APC Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, clarified that while there were no ongoing talks with Kwankwaso, the party would welcome his decision to join. Yilwatda emphasized the APC's commitment to political inclusivity, especially in light of shifting alliances ahead of future elections.

Kwankwaso, a former presidential candidate, has shown solidarity with NNPP members in Kano amidst political tensions. Despite recent setbacks, Kwankwaso maintains the strength of the Kwankwasiyya movement and grassroots support.

The former governor expressed disappointment over Governor Yusuf's defection and vowed to sustain his political structure despite challenges.
