Kano Governor Appoints Emir of Rano as Amirul Hajj 2027

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf appointed Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umar, the Emir of Rano, as the Amirul Hajj for the year 2027. This announcement was made in a statement released by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, and shared with The PUNCH on Saturday.

The governor made the declaration during a wedding and turbaning ceremony for the Emir’s first son, Muhammad Abubakar Isa, which took place on Friday at the Rano Emirate. Governor Yusuf stated that the Emir of Rano was chosen for this role following the previous Hajj, where the Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Dr Abdulkadir Ibrahim, led the state’s delegation.

The Emir, Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umar, along with members of the emirate, expressed their happiness regarding the appointment and extended their gratitude to the governor for the honor.
