Kano Governor Abba Yusuf Condemns Youth Misconduct

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf publicly condemned the behavior of youths who displayed inappropriate conduct during the official visit of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu. He described their actions as disgraceful and contrary to the values of Kano State.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, Yusuf distanced his administration from the incident, insisting that such behavior does not reflect the cultural traditions of Kano. He spoke during a special prayer event held at the government house, emphasizing the need for modesty, discipline, and respect among the youth, who he described as symbols of hope for development.

Yusuf warned politicians against exploiting young people for political gain, which could damage the moral fabric of society. He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to youth mentorship and preserving Kano's cultural heritage.

The event also featured notable Islamic scholars and was attended by Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II, who has been involved in similar peace-promoting initiatives.
