Kano Governor Abba Yusuf Engages Kannywood for Support

On Thursday, Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf urged stronger collaboration with Kannywood and other creative industry players to advance President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda and his own Kano First Agenda. During a meeting with members of Tripple for Renewed Hope at the Coronation Hall in Kano, Yusuf highlighted the creative sector's significance in youth empowerment, job creation, and cultural development.

He committed to fostering a supportive environment for creative professionals, including singers and filmmakers, to enhance their talents and achieve economic self-reliance. Yusuf encouraged Kannywood practitioners to leverage their platforms to promote peace, unity, and a positive image of Kano.

Hausa singer Dauda Kahutu Rarara praised Yusuf for his leadership and acknowledgment of Kannywood's contributions to the state's development. Additionally, Umar Haruna Doguwa, the Kano State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, expressed confidence in the party's prospects for the 2027 general elections, emphasizing a commitment to a peaceful electoral process.
