Kano Government Signs Major Renewable Energy Deals to Boost Clean Energy Access

The Kano State Government has inked agreements with Tricel Solar Solutions and IR Green Energy Limited during the Nigeria Renewable Energy Innovations Forum in Abuja. The deals involve establishing a solar panel manufacturing plant with a capacity of 600MW and a 500MW project to make Kano a hub for renewable energy and green manufacturing in West Africa.

The collaboration with the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) will provide technical support. The state government lauds REA's commitment to supporting renewable energy initiatives, fostering investor confidence and ensuring successful project implementation.
