Kano Official Critiques Kwankwaso's NNPP Departure

Sunusi Batur, a director in the Kano State government, publicly criticized former governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for his decision to leave the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). In a Facebook post on Sunday, Batur described Kwankwaso's exit as a betrayal, emphasizing that it serves as a significant lesson in politics.

He noted that while Kwankwaso has left the NNPP, he has not abandoned the Kwankwasiyya movement, which he believes should continue to be represented by the red cap. In response, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso confirmed his resignation from the NNPP effective immediately, stating that the decision was made after careful consideration of Nigeria's political direction.

He expressed the necessity to join a political platform that offers better prospects for genuine change, acknowledging that the decision was not easy due to his long history with the party. Kwankwaso's resignation is significant as he was the party's presidential candidate for the 2023 elections.
