ACF Sympathizes with Traders After Kano Market Fire

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), represented by its chairman Dr. Goni Faruk Umar, expressed deep sympathy for the traders who suffered losses in the recent fire incident at Singer Market in Kano.

This unfortunate event, which led to the destruction of valuable goods and assets, follows a previous fire that occurred on February 2. Dr.

Umar commended the swift response of the Kano State Fire Service and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), highlighting their efforts to contain the fire and prevent further damage. The ACF called on both state and federal governments to develop and implement strategic interventions aimed at preventing future occurrences of such devastating incidents.

The statement was made public by Nasiru Yusuf Ibrahim, the ACF's secretary, reaffirming the forum's solidarity with the affected traders and urging authorities to consider measures that enhance safety standards and emergency preparedness in major markets across the state.
