Kano Local Government Chairmen Back Kwankwaso, Gov Yusuf's Defection to APC

In a significant political development in Kano State, local government chairmen have thrown their support behind the defection of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf from the NNPP to the APC. Following stakeholder meetings, 31 out of the 44 local governments in Kano have endorsed the defection.

However, two local governments have decided to remain with the NNPP. The loyalty of the remaining 11 local governments is yet to be publicly declared, indicating a shifting political landscape in the state.
