Kano Manufacturers Engage NDPHC On Direct Power Supply

The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), Engr Jennifer Adighije, met with the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) in Kano to discuss direct power supply to manufacturers. Adighije assured MAN of NDPHC's support in driving industrial growth, creating jobs, and enhancing national development within regulatory and infrastructural limits.

The MAN delegation, led by Alhaji Ali Madugu of Dala Foods Kano, appealed for inclusion in NDPHC's Eligible Customer Programme to address power challenges hindering local manufacturing in Kano State. NDPHC executives provided a roadmap for MAN Kano to benefit from direct power supply opportunities.

Adighije also mentioned plans to commercialize stranded electricity by 2025. Both parties expressed optimism for a mutually beneficial partnership to unlock Kano's industrial potential.
