Kano State Launches Agric Mechanisation Hub to Boost Farming Productivity

Kano State, in collaboration with the Kano State Agro Pastoral Development Project (KSADP) and Sasakawa African Association (SAA), has launched an agricultural mechanization hub in Kadawa. The project, funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), aims to enhance productivity, reduce farming costs, and alleviate manual labor for smallholder farmers.

The hub is equipped with modern farm machinery, including tractors, planters, and harvesters, to support land preparation, planting, and harvesting. Dr.

Godwin Aster of SAA emphasized the hub's significance in advancing agriculture, boosting farmers' income, and providing access to modern equipment. The initiative aligns with efforts to modernize farming practices and improve agricultural outcomes in the region.
