Benue State Launches Agricultural Mechanisation Programme for Enhanced Farming

The Agricultural Mechanisation Programme launched in Benue State by Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia aims to revolutionize farming practices and boost rural development. This initiative, in partnership with Mass International Equipment Limited and SABASPAC, seeks to enhance agricultural productivity by providing modern farming equipment to farmers.

The program, starting with clusters of 10 farmers totaling 300, will introduce brand new tractors and machinery to increase productivity and income for smallholder farmers. By subsidizing mechanized farming and deploying extension agents, the government aims to transform Benue State into a hub of mechanized agriculture, creating employment opportunities and improving livelihoods across the state.
