Kano Pilgrims' 2026 Hajj Flights Start May 14, 2026

The Kano State Pilgrim Welfare Board has announced that the first batch of pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj will begin flights on May 14, 2026. This announcement was made by the Director General of the Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawal, during the closing ceremony of a Hajj induction course held at the School of Arabic Studies in Kano.

The board is working in collaboration with Max Air, which has been designated as the carrier for the Kano pilgrims. Matawal urged intending pilgrims to review the induction materials to better understand the rites of Hajj and to strictly comply with the rules and regulations set by the Nigerian and Saudi Arabian authorities.

He also mentioned the involvement of various agencies, including the Nigerian Immigration Service and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, in ensuring a smooth and hitch-free airlift for the pilgrims. The board is committed to facilitating seamless Hajj operations for pilgrims from Kano State.
