Kano State Distributes N6.5M Relief to Fire Victims

The Kano State government, through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, has distributed financial relief amounting to N6,576,537.33 to assist 28 beneficiaries affected by a fire outbreak in Zago town, located in the Danbatta Local Government Area. This support aims to cushion the impact of the losses suffered during the inferno that occurred in February of the previous year.

Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Director of Public Enlightenment at the Ministry, announced the relief distribution, emphasizing the government's commitment to the welfare of its citizens, particularly during times of disaster. Hajiya Amina Yusuf Yargaya, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, reiterated that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf remains deeply concerned about the well-being of the people.

She assured that the government would continue to provide support to communities facing challenges. Abdullahi Isyaku Kubarachi, the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), urged residents to take precautions against fire outbreaks, especially at night.
