Kano Speaker and 21 Lawmakers Resign from NNPP, Declare Support for Governor Abba Yusuf

Kano State Speaker Jibril Ismail Falgore, along with 21 other lawmakers, resigned from the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) to pledge their full support for Governor Abba Yusuf. The defection, which included the Deputy Speaker, Major Leader, Deputy Major Leader, and Chief Whip, was confirmed by the Kano State House of Assembly's press secretary, Kamaludden Shawai.
