Lawyer Accuses Nigerian Government of Double Standards in Security Handling

Aloy Ejimakor, the legal representative of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has accused the Nigerian government of employing double standards in addressing security matters. Ejimakor criticized the government for allegedly showing tolerance towards Fulani terrorists while aggressively pursuing IPOB and its leader.

He raised concerns about the fairness and transparency of the government's actions, particularly in comparison to its handling of security issues in the past. Ejimakor highlighted the recent actions taken by the United States concerning security-related matters involving Nigeria, questioning why suspected Fulani terrorists are treated with leniency while IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu face severe crackdowns.

The lawyer emphasized the need for the government to provide a transparent account of its classified approach towards different groups linked to insecurity across the country, challenging the authorities to explain the apparent disparities in their responses.
