Katsina Governor Radda Distributes 90,000 Grain Bags

On Wednesday, Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda initiated the distribution of 90,000 bags of assorted grains to vulnerable households across the state's 34 Local Government Areas. This intervention aims to alleviate the effects of economic hardship and enhance food security.

The event took place in Kaita LGA, where Radda instructed officials to ensure the grains reach the intended beneficiaries without discrimination. He emphasized that this initiative is part of a broader social intervention program, which previously included support for women in business and assistance for 7,220 widows.

Radda acknowledged the Aliko Dangote Foundation's contributions to food security in the state. He stated that while immediate relief is crucial, sustainable solutions to food insecurity require empowering farmers through subsidized inputs and irrigation expansion.

The governor reiterated that the grain distribution and agricultural initiatives are interconnected, aiming to provide immediate support while fostering community self-reliance.
