Katsina govt approves monthly stipends for Christian clerics, commences recruitment of CRS teachers

The Katsina State Government has approved a monthly stipend for Christian clerics as part of efforts to promote religious inclusion and support faith leaders. The decision was announced by the Christian Association of Nigeria Katsina State Chapter in a statement signed by Secretary Musa Daniel Danladi on behalf of Chairman Rev Fr Richard Shuaibu Liti.

Governor Dikko Umar Radda also approved the recruitment of Christian Religious Studies (CRS) teachers for public schools, seen as a major step towards inclusivity and moral development. The recruitment of CRS teachers is in response to a request from the Christian community to improve academic results and moral upbringing of Christian students.

Qualified Christians are encouraged to apply online for teaching positions to contribute to the moral and academic growth of young people. The initiative was praised by the community and it is hoped that it will be maintained beyond the current administration to strengthen unity among religious groups.
