Katsina and World Bank Recover 30,000-Hectare Degraded Land, Benefit 2.5 Million People

Katsina State, in partnership with the World Bank, has successfully recovered 30,000 hectares of degraded land as part of an environmental project aimed at tackling land degradation and climate change challenges. Governor Dikko Umaru Radda disclosed this during the distribution of farm inputs and equipment.

The project, designed to strengthen the capacity of semi-arid states like Katsina in managing land and water resources efficiently, has reached over 2.5 million people with various interventions. The initiative also includes planting three million trees across the state to combat climate change and improve the environment.
