Yobe, Sokoto Governors Launch N26.5bn Road Projects

On a weekend, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni and Sokoto State Governor Dr. Ahmadu Aliyu Sokoto commissioned two significant road projects in Katsina State, amounting to N26.5 billion.

Governor Buni's project involved the reconstruction of a 39-kilometer single carriageway asphalt concrete road linking 25 communities at a cost of N13.9 billion. He emphasized that this project would strategically boost economic activities and improve the living standards of the people in the area.

Similarly, Governor Sokoto commissioned an 8.1-kilometer road from Yandaki to Shinkafi Kofar Sauri, costing N12.6 billion, which connects five communities. Governor Radda highlighted that these projects reflect the administration's commitment to infrastructure renewal and rural development, aiming to reduce travel time, enhance safety, and open new economic opportunities for residents.

He commended the Ministry of Works and Housing, particularly Engr. Sani Magaji, for their effective supervision and quality delivery.
