Sokoto Governor Commissions N12.6bn Road Project

On a recent date, Governor Ahm Aliyu of Sokoto State commissioned the N12.6 billion Yandaki–Shinkafi–Kofar Sauri road, which spans 8.1 kilometers. This dualized corridor is expected to significantly impact socio-economic development within the communities along its route by facilitating efficient movement of goods and services.

Governor Aliyu emphasized the importance of modern road infrastructure as a critical driver of economic growth and urban development. He commended Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda for prioritizing infrastructure projects that enhance road safety and improve the quality of life for citizens.

Governor Radda noted that the project reflects a collaborative effort to modernize urban infrastructure and boost economic activities across Katsina State, which includes a broader initiative covering 200 kilometers of road construction and rehabilitation. The commissioning ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including Speaker Tukur Bala Bodinga and other members of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, highlighting the unity and commitment to progress between Sokoto and Katsina states.
